To submit an error report or not to submit an error report, that is the question.

Indeed, we encourage you to report all bugs you encounter on your device. Samsung has millions of devices globally, and each user customizes their phone uniquely, leading to diverse configurations.

This diversity can sometimes lead to the emergence of bugs, as developers cannot account for every possible device setup. The only way Samsung can effectively identify the root cause of a bug is through comprehensive error reports that include complete system logs. This data enables them to pinpoint commonalities leading to the bug and deploy a patch as promptly as possible, potentially with the next security update or in a subsequent release.

For instance, I experienced a persistent bug where app widgets disappeared from my lock screen for several months, which was ultimately resolved in the November patch along with other minor issues.

If you are encountering bugs on your device, the most effective way to assist both yourself and Samsung is to utilize the "Send Feedback" feature located within the support tab of the Members app. It is advisable to submit this report within 15 minutes of experiencing the issue. You also have the option to include screenshots and screen recordings to further illustrate the problem.

Important, but don't expect a personalized response or quick resolution.

The issue I have is that if you submit an error report which does not require and does not include the system log data, it gets rejected with request for more information.

They should at least inform what is included in the system log data that is being sent to Samsung. For all we know, it could include all account IDs, passwords, contact lists etc. which we may not want Samsung to have.

What you wrote gets documented.

Those things you mentioned do not get included in system logs!

I hope so. What I meant is Samsung should be transparent about what is included in the system log data. Maybe it is documented somewhere but it would be nice if they clearly mentioned in the Members app what data is included before we click on the send icon.
