It seems Samsung has listened to Feedback about the awful battery pill, in Ui 8.5 you will now be able to turn off the pill and just have the percentage.

With you all the way. I preferred the original Battery Icon. The current one is so hard to see for me.

Very nice. What are you using to achieve the customization?

Nova Launcher and KWGT KUSTOM WIDGETS pro. My set up with the Clock and date is one widget, battery another music the final. All with shortcuts to specific apps. The Google bar is 5 short cuts to Google, Gemini, Gmail Google Find Hub and Maps directions home.

Unpopular opinion. I also like the pill. Never understood the reported visibility issues... nearsighted, bordering on legally blind and I have no problem with it.

Maybe more difficult with farsightedness?

Maybe more difficult with normal vision.  I've been having vision issues lately and also have no problem with the pill.  I do prefer the old battery icon, but I can live with the pill.  I also don't actually need to see the percent at a glance (even though it's nice to have), as I have a routine to notify me when my battery reaches 31% so I know I have about 5 hours left to charge it.

I can't read the percentage at all, even with glasses. I too have small routine set to tell me when my phone hits 15%. Why I picked 15%, AccuBattery needs 15% or lower to get accurate heath readings and how many charging cycles your phone has done. I average 1 complete charging cycle a day.

I also miss the battery icon filled to the percentage next to the number, but this is definitely a step in the right direction. And I think 8.5 is still very early in development, so they could add onto this option too
