Cannot Permanently Delete a Routine in Routine Widget

Cannot permanently delete a routine in Routine widget. If I delete it and try to create a new one, old deleted routines are still there. Removing the widget doesn’t help. After one reinstalls widget then routines are still there when one tries to create new ones

Need a little bit more info before we can diagnose this. Which phone? Is it on one ui7 or is it on one ui8 beta?

You have to delete your routine through the modes and routines settings.  I create and delete modes and routines all the time, but I do not use the widget because they are all automated.

Removing a widget does not delete the routine or mode, it just takes the widget off your screen.  You must go to modes and routines, long press the routine(s) you want to select, and then tap the delete icon at the bottom of the screen.  If you want to create a new routine and add it to the widget, select the widget style you want and then add it to your screen and select "create routine". For the life of me, I don't know why you can't just add the widget and select an already created routine the way you can with the mode widget.
