The settings menu is how the entire device should look. Clean, breathable and 100% functional. Not big frosted widgets with rounded corners as customization on any devices. I love the clean design flow of the settings menu. Notice the size and proportions. This is your best work.

This is what I had to do to achieve usability. Notice how the widgets just fade into the background. Not all in your face gaudy, interrupting you train of thought. I get widgets to keep from using the stock widgets. Send your designers to open source communities to look at the design direction of current, usable apps. The functionality too, especially the functionality.

I personally like the new colorful, playful widgets. I love blur. I think it's beautiful and can't wait until it is more consistently applied in 8.5.

Your setup is quite different from mine, and would not be my preference.

The settings menu is just text on a black/white background. If you want your launcher to look like that, you can accomplish that with a minimal launcher that is just text.

That's the beauty of Android. Your device can be YOUR device.

I have completely modified the settings menu and everything else. Mines is a transparency.
With punches of color. However, I design and the wallpapers I design, I need to be able to see with widgets applied to them. And not those big boxes with rounded corners. They look horrible. It would be okay if samsung gave both of us.What we wanted, but I definitely don't want that rounded corner box with that blur c***. It's a serious downgrade for me.
