Why is the lock screen designed like this

Why are the widgets rectangle but the nowbar is pill shaped, its ugly tbh, if your going to change the shape of things, at least make it consistent. Make everything pill shaped so it fits the design language that you guys want. We need the little details that apple has, that's why everyone calls them perfect.

I agree with you but I mean this is just the Beta and not the final product, a lot of widgets and elements haven't been updated to fit the overall look of One UI7 yet. They really tried to focus on new features and animations for the most part.
