Media Player in Notifications on One UI 7

Anyone else missing the media player in the notifications bar? I hate having to swipe into quick panel instead of it just being there so I can scrub through the tracks, as someone who uses it constantly.

I think this was a huge oversight in the beta process. I trust samsung to bring back the option of having the media panel in the drop down soon

At the top of the quick settings edit mode there is something called "panel settings" which is almost unnoticeable since it's all the way at the top. If you go in there, there is an option called "device control and media output buttons". You can turn that to "show when quick panel is collapsed" but it doesn't actually do anything. No behavior is changed.

I did toggle the "device control and media buttons" option on and off, and it does actually add two new buttons below the quick settings.

Then, clicking on Media output does show the media player controls, as well as the ability to switch the audio output device.

It is still one extra tap, so a swipe and a tap instead of two swipes and a scroll (because I have so many quick settings tiles in the expanded view) - whether that's better or not, I'm not sure.

I would still prefer the media controls be always visible in the main notification drawer. Maybe they thought people get so many notifications that they wanted to keep it clear, but I tend to clear all my notifications, so I would prefer the option to keep the media controls always visible.

I have spent the last hour trying to replicate it on my s25 ultra with no luck. I really hope they fix this. I don't like the extra step to see the media in notification drawer.

I did not like it at first but now weather I swipe down the notification bar or the in quick bar it is still within one swipe away so I have gotten use to it.  A lot of times also in the notification bar if I cleared it my music would sometimes turn off.

i've sent pretense using samsung members to return this ability to one ui 7. its unacceptable solution which destroying my user experience! you all can do the same

I had it for one day on my new s25ultra, the title of the track was on top left in the now bar and also in the live notifications. But after the day 1 update it was removed 😞
