I bought a new Q72DD in March. It has a very bad blooming issue. I work for a world leading projector company so know enough to be dangerous but no amount of config or contractor settings eliminates this. I have the brightness almost all the way down as well. Its so bad my guests comment on it at movie night.

I spent over $1000 and stuc with the brand as my older Samsung display looks great. I just wanted a larger viewing display but its a absolute disaster.

What are my options Samsung?

Hello @3rdrail9er! Thank you for reaching out! This will be something that could require service. Depending on your warranty, you will have a few options.

- If your unit was recently purchased, you can check with your retailer on their return/exchange processes.
- If you have an extended warranty you can reach out to them to have service set up.
- If you're within the one year warranty, you can Private message me or one of our moderators or you can call in directly at 1-800- 726-7864 with your full model and serial number to have service setup
- If you're OUT of warranty, you can use this link below to find a service center in your area.

Had same issue with the other S brand. It happened about the 90 day mark and out of frustration gave it away. It will liberate you and depending on the receiver, gain some good will and apreciation.

For this type of TV, unfortunately, it is very normal. If you don't want bad blooming, an edge-lit TV without local dimming is probably not a great option. This is not a issue that would be covered under any type of warranty. I recommend going with a flagship device like the Samsung Q990f 8kTV if you want a micro led for better control or a Samsung oled.
