I have been using ArtTV for almost a year. Now, I cannot select any artist in the Artist/ABC section. Have tried unplugging system, Hub restart, Factory Reset. I can use app on my phone and select but using remote will not.
Hello @FredCa, welcome to the Samsung Community! If the troubleshooting steps youโve already tried didnโt resolve the issue, here are the next recommendations:
Firstly, I would sign out of your account and sign back in. Next, do a reset on your remote:
Press and hold the Return and Play/Pause buttons simultaneously. Wait for the remoteโs light to blink (about 5โ10 seconds), then release the buttons. If needed, press any button near the TV to re-pair the remote.
I didn't do anything like a factory reset, nor even did I sign-out/sign-in again, but I had a spare remote and once I got that paired it began to work for me. It seems though the main issue is... the Artist area probably has EVERY ARTIST and EVERY ARTWORK i.e. scrolling all the way to the end there must be more than a hundred artists and then many hundreds of artworks and I'm imagining the Samsung (mine's an older 2017 model) struggling with the thumbnail downloads. I also have a slower ISP (50Mbs down) which may also be a factor. By the time I'd scrolled to the Ws (alphabetical by first names) the thumbnails disappeared. I've left it and maybe they'll show up in time.
Samsung needs to expose their complete listing of artists and artworks somewhere online to help us find stuff.
Dunno if my problem is similar, but since I re-purchased my Art Store membership after being away for 4 months, when I navigate to the 'Artists' item no artists are shown i.e. the screen otherwise is blank and then after a few seconds goes black and freezes up i.e. I have to press the remote's Home button (lower middle) and navigate back to it. There's really good stuff in there so this is annoying at best.
