using a samsung t55 27" moniotor, a horizontal line on top has appeared also the screen is flickering, the default refrsh rate is 75hz, when reducing it the flickering goes away, 48hz is the minimum refresh possible, but after using the monitor for few minutes the flickering comes back
any idea whats causing this ? and is it fixable ? i tried resetting settings, cables, btw the problem also occurs when its not connected with any hdmi cables
heres a video of flickering https://streamable.com/7looox
its out of warrenty

Monitors and MemoryHello! Thank you for reaching out! Does this occur with any other source? Such as a console or any other device?

Monitors and Memoryonly have pc hdmi as source and even without hdmi connected the flickering occurs
heres a video of it with different refresh rates, lowering it works for a few mins and turning the monitor off for a hour or more works for the flickering but eventually it starts flickering no matter the refresh rate

opened the back cover and reseated the cables, the problem remained. the horizontal line is permanent since the problem started. it doesnt go away no matter what. btw in the pcb theres a slight discoloration, is it supposed to be like this ? or is it something related with pcb material degradation or becoming faulty ?
saw some videos of tapping the panel cable connections for horizontal line fix, will it work ? or the tcon board/ panel is almost dead ?

Since this is still occuring this is something that will require service. Depending on your warranty you will have a few options.
- If your device was recently purchased, you can check with your retailer on their return/exchange processes.
- If you have an extended warranty you can reach out to them to have service processed.
- If you're within the one year warranty, you can Private message me or one of our moderators or you can call in directly at 1-800- 726-7864 with your full model and serial number to have service setup
- If you're OUT of warranty, for depot type products (Soundbars, Home Theater Systems, tablets, ect.) that require to be shipped we recommend you speak with our depot team for pricing and to have the service set up: 1-310-669-4334.
