I have a brand new Samsung 990 Pro on the Gigabyte B850 Aorus Elite Gaming Wifi7 motherboard, and a Ryzen 7 9800x3d. I am only getting about 100k Random write IOPS when i should be getting 1 million.

Fresh Windows 11 Pro install, LSPM and ASPM disabled, virtualization disabled, core parking disabled, confirmed in every was the m.2 slot is running at pcie gen 4, the drive is 4k aligned properly and isn't overheating (40 Celsius). Full performance is enabled through magician, i tested it with crystalmarkdisk too. I tried with my gpu plugged and unplugged, I tried swapping slots, no luck. Screenshot 2025-08-13 065618.png

I posted it, got one reply telling me to do something I had already done and stated I had done in the post. 600 views and only that reply.

Since you're getting well over 1M reads, I'd suspect it's something to do with the drive controller.

Upgrade to a higher tier motherboard to match the CPU abilities?  Like to an X class chipset instead of a low grade B series.

I have the same.
Few months old system, both 2 and 4tb 990pro show also this random write speed.
I have a Gigabyte X870E AORUS PRO, AMD Ryzen 9 9900X and Kingston Fury Beast RGB KF560C30BBEAK2-64.
Somehow it changed, it was not like this in the beginning.
