Monitors and MemoryI have a 34" Odyssey G8 G85SB display that I'm using with 2 computers. The first computer is a M2 MacMini connected to the USB-C/PD port, and the second is an HP Elitebook connected to the microHDMI port.
I have set the Game Mode to both Off and Auto. I do not game. I just use the monitor for office-type work. However, Game Mode keeps getting enabled. When that happens, the other USB-C port switches to High Resolution. I have a USB hub connected to that port that I use to power a light bar, charge my iPad, and connect my web cam. When it switches to High Resolution, it often will not power any devices. So, I have go back and turn Game Mode off and switch USB-C to High Speed.
I've also noticed that sometimes just the USB-C setting gets switched to High Resolution while the Game Mode will remain off. In that case, I still have issues with devices connected to the USB-C hub on the other USB-C port.
Is there something I have to do to keep Game Mode off and for USB-C to remain High-Speed?
Out of curiosity, what is the benefit of having the other USB-C port (not the one with 65W Power Delivery) set to High Resolution? Can another device be connected to this port for video?
Thanks!
