Roku uses an internet connection while an antenna uses a digital radio signal that is broadcasted locally.

By switching the input sources for the TV in the TV's menu, you should be able to watch either your local broadcasts or Roku device.

Yes, you can absolutely use both an indoor antenna and a Roku streaming device with your Samsung Smart TV — but not simultaneously on the same input. Here’s how to make the most of both:

1. Indoor Antenna (Local Channels)
Your antenna connects via the coaxial (ANT IN) port on the back of your TV. Once plugged in:

Go to Settings > Broadcasting > Auto Program

Select Air or Both (Air/Cable)

Let it scan for local channels.
You’ll now have a “TV” input that lets you view local over-the-air broadcasts (NBC, CBS, ABC, etc.).

2. Roku Streaming Device (Apps & Streaming)
Your Roku plugs into an HDMI port, typically HDMI 1, 2, or 3.
To access it, just press the Source/Input button on your remote and choose the corresponding HDMI input.

3. Switching Between Antenna and Roku
You toggle between them using the Source menu:

“TV” = antenna channels

“HDMI 1” or “HDMI 2” = Roku or other devices
You can also rename the inputs for easier recognition (e.g., name HDMI 1 as “Roku”).

4. Helpful Tip: Add to Home Menu
Some newer Samsung TVs let you pin both “TV” and “HDMI” sources to your Home bar, making it even easier to jump between local and streaming content without digging through menus.

Bonus Insight:
Samsung’s TV Plus service (preloaded on many models) offers free streaming channels that might overlap with what you’re getting over the air, so you might want to compare.

To sum up:
Yes, you can use both. The key is input switching. Antenna gives you local news and broadcasts; Roku gives you streaming apps and services. And your Samsung Smart TV can handle both with ease — just like a multilingual device navigating analog and digital signals with graceful syntax.

Choosing TV gives me the Samsung channels, but I don't see how to only use antenna channels... or even if the antenna is picking up any channels. Please help!!
