I guess most everyone on here with a smart TV is probably aware their servers are down and nothing but Samsung Live TV and Netflix work (apparently they don't go through Samsung servers like other apps). Don't be like me (and so many others) who did a factory reset and now can't download anything or even update the software because it gets stuck and gives a server error (880-1 or something similar). I was getting a CURL60 error as well and a warning that my internet was unstable.

Their smart Hub Things page shows everything up, which we all know is a lie. No communication, nothing from the company on what has been a several hour outage. Communication is important and it can make outages more palatable. Obviously outages happen sometimes, but nothing from the company and a blatant lie on their status page is really pissing off a lot of loyal customers. Hopefully someone from the company reads all these messages everyone is posting.

I wish I had known that earlier, I too did a factory reset.

Yeah I did a reset, now Iโ€™ll spend an hour downloading and signing into apps.  Not happy.  The Samsung 7 I have has been getting slower over the last couple years and now itโ€™s their server.  Iโ€™m done, time to move on.

So frustrating. The lack of status communication could have saved me hours trying to reboot, reset, test, test. Retry, disconnect, test again. Schhh! Yes, servers fail but lack of communication to customers is beyond belief. Donโ€™t Go to Samsung support. Total waste your time seeking a resolution there.. Donโ€™t use chat feature either- Another waste of time.

Luckily I did not reset!   Whatever happens next - I have learned some things about Samsung.

a) Their treatment of customers is poor - how hard can it be to inform us about what is going on.  After all I am constantly nagged by many useless notifications.  And their support website is not  helpful.

b)  A Samsung outage should not affect my access to Youtube and many other apps.  Samsung should not be inserting themselves between me and the Internet in an intrusive and unnecessary way.

I hope Samsung learns something from this.

I'm writing from Mongolia. I have a Samsung UE55CU8500UXCE TV, and it's connected to the internet just fine. However, the YouTube app is not working, while everything else seems to be working normally.

I tried resetting the Smart Hub to fix it, but now I'm getting a โ€œServer under maintenanceโ€ message when I try to log in to my Samsung account. So now I can't use the TV properly.

Is anyone else having the same issue?
Is this a server-side problem?
Any idea how long this might take to be fixed?

Servers are down. But the fact that they haven't issued anything about it is lazy.
