LED and OLED TVs

Hi all,

I recently purchased a DU6900 model TV and am running into issues when trying to search for apps.

After finishing the initial setup, I went to install the Gotham Sports app and was able to search for it without a problem, but when trying to select it I kept getting an error along the lines of "Smart Hub is being updated". Tried rebooting the TV and resetting Smart Hub and after that clicking on the search icon from the home screen would not do anything besides show the loading spinner for a few seconds. Tried another Smart Hub reset, unplugging the TV for a few hours, and a full factory reset and currently I'm able to get to the search screen which just shows the loading spinner, and I'm able to enter a search term which also just seems to load indefinitely. I tried another factory reset but this time going through the setup with the SmartThings app. From the app searching works without any issues but once I try and select anything and it sends it to the TV it just sits there loading again.

Checking for software updates shows everything being up to date, but I've noticed that sometimes after I reboot it by holding down the power button on the remote it does say that it's installing updates on startup.

Preinstalled apps such as YouTube, Netflix, and Prime Video open up and work normally and I don't currently have any devices connected to the TV.

My ISP is Verizon Fios but hopefully that's not part of the issue since they're offering Samsung TVs as a signup perk ðŸ˜„.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

That sounds frustrating! I recommend contacting our remote management department. They'll be able to remote into your TV, and perform a service reset on their end as well as see what exactly is going on. You can call into 1-800-SAMSUNG (1-800-726-7864) and ask for remote management for your TV. In the event that doesn't fix the search function, it's possible that it is an ISP issue and that you don't have the bandwidth to operate the TV optimally.
