I am trying to designate a file on my computer as "network storage " for my phone to access. I'm at the login and it ?wants to know the "port"! What the !#@% is a port? Can anyone help?

@EMuns SMB is a network file sharing protocol that requires an open port on a computer or server to communicate with other systems. SMB ports generally use port numbers 139 and 445.

Thanks, I think I'm going to find an easier solution with the windows DLNA service. I'm reading up on it now. My main concern is privacy and security. Eric
