I just bought two new 77” tv’s, one S95D and one S90D (still in the box as I type this).  After 10 minutes of watching the S95D, my 15 amp breaker tripped.   I plugged this tv into the same outlet that my previous tv was plugged into and I’ve never had an issue before. Nothing else is plugged into the outlet either, nor is anything else plugged in that runs on the breaker that tripped.  I reset the breaker and 5 min later, it tripped again. After three times, I unplugged the tv and put my old tv back and it hasn’t tripped again.  I Google this issue and sure enough, many other people are dealing with this issue. Samsung help suggested I put a voltage regulator on my outlet.  I plugged it back in with the regulator (even though I know it was dumb) and it tripped again.  Long story short, Samsung has a problem with their TVs. They should know this by now and not tell people to do all these crazy things I’ve been reading.

Hello! Thank you for reaching out! I would recommend the options from @Philscbx. If this doesn't work, I would recommend getting an electrician to look at the breaker. Or if you prefer, you can get service on the TV to. Depending on your warranty, you will have a few options.

- If your unit was recently purchased, you can check with your retailer on their return/exchange processes.
- If you have an extended warranty you can reach out to them to have service set up.
- If you're within the one year warranty, you can Private message me or one of our moderators or you can call in directly at 1-800- 726-7864 with your full model and serial number to have service setup
- If you're OUT of warranty, you can use this link below to find a service center in your area.

I'd replace the outlet regardless being 15amp outlets have very poor grip to plugs, even more so end up slopply loose and barely hold a phone charger without falling out.
Best option use 20amp outlets built to higher grade internally.

Then stab in a high grade protected power strip to plug in electronic devices.
Cheers
And don't worry, 20amp outlet has nothing to do with the breaker.

Sloppy outlets create dangerous conditions for you and your devices.
Cheers
