Up until this weekend AirPlay worked fine on my series 7 tv, we used it daily. Then I got a message, “low memory, reset tv.” So I did and now when you select AirPlay in the settings the screen goes black. If you try AirPlay from my iPhone now it asks for a code input that’s displayed on the tv screen. Except no code ever appears. I’ve gone through all the suggested fixes which most involve using the settings. Which no longer function. Seems like a software problem, need assistance.

Thank you for this information. After looking into this further, the next step would be service. Depending on your warranty, you will have a few options.

- If your unit was recently purchased, you can check with your retailer on their return/exchange processes.
- If you have an extended warranty you can reach out to them to have service set up.
- If you're within the one year warranty, you can Private message me or one of our moderators or you can call in directly at 1-800- 726-7864 with your full model and serial number to have service setup
- If you're OUT of warranty, you can use this link below to find a service center in your area.

Hello! Thank you for reaching out! I would recommend trying a factory reset on the TV. After the reset, please power cycle the TV too.

Hello and thanks for your response. I’ve already tried this. In fact AirPlay functionality stopped working after resetting the tv and powering off tv. It seems like the functionality was removed once I did a factory reset. Which is weird since we’ve been using AirPlay daily for years.

Thank you for trying! I was meaning to try the reset again. That does sound weird, how this started. I would also recommend trying the information in the link below. So that I may look further into this, can I also have your full model number?

Tried the reset of the smart hub and a factory reset of the tv. Also tried all the other recommended break fixes, nothing has worked. At this point it seems like a bug in the software or Samsung has removed the feature we’ve been using for years.

AirPlay stopped functioning. Tried all break fixes and nothing worked. So tv service was recommended. That won’t work, clearly it’s a software issue since it occurred after being forced to factory reset due to low memory. Do not close this thread, the issue is not fixed. Fix the software issue.

It's still sounds like there's a memory problem. I'm really not that familiar with the television, but I will bet there is something similar to a memory data clear and a memory cache clear that might help out. Hopefully someone is a little more knowledgeable than I am.

Thanks for your reply. My guess is it’s not a hardware issue so repair service won’t be able to help. AirPlay worked fine until performing a factory reset. If I select AirPlay in settings now it launches a black screen. Similar to the old blue screen of ded from years past. That’s a software issue, all day long. Which means Samsung would have to identify the problem and fix it with a software update. Nothing else will work. Leave this thread open until they issue a software update to fix.

Since this is a User to user support community with no ability to fix the software issue your having you would need to submit a error report in the support tab to get help with this
