Kitchen and Family HubI have a wind free mini split. My issue is best explained via an example.
I have my temp set to 75deg. Right now the unit says the room temp is 78deg. I have an ambiat air temp probe stuck up insdie the cold air portion to read the temp of the air coming out of the unit. It reads 71 deg. Clearly it is making cold air, but 71 degree air isn't cold enough to keep up with this texas heat and the 78 never comes down to 75 degrees.
Now, if I crank the temp down to like 65, the fan speeds up and after a few minutes the temp of the air sensor reads that the cold air coming out is around 58 degrees. At this rate, the room quickly cools down.
What is going on here. I'm not using Auto or any of the AI modes....plain old "cool" mode. Do I have a low refrigerant issue on my hands? From what I can gather, this unit does adjust how cold the air blows out of it based on how far the room temp is from the set point temp, but I feel like 71 degree air coming out should be colder to cool down from 78 to 75.

Sorry, but to me, that sounds normal. If my main AC only tries to drop a few degrees, the air isn’t that cold. However, if I lower the temperature more than 10 degrees, the air gets colder because it’s trying to drop the temperature significantly. On hot days I lower mine to 65 degrees that way it will maintain around 72 degrees inside.
