I have a SAMSUNG Jet 60 Flex Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner.  I have had it for two years. It runs for only 50 seconds and then shuts off. When I start it again, it runs for a shorter period. I thought it might be heat-related, but the house is only 74 degrees. The battery is fully charged.  What might be wrong?

Hey, welcome to the community. I can definitely understand your concern here. Let's try to alleviate some of the stress by trying a couple of steps.

1.) Look for objects that could be blocking the pipe, dustbin or brush.
2.) Confirm the washable micro filter is inserted correctly.
3.) Replace the battery

If this does not help I recommend letting a service technician have a look. As we would like to gather additional information, and look at this from a case by case basis, please provide the full model code and serial number of the device as well as your best contact phone number, name, and email.

Thanks for your reply, but I am hesitant because I don't want to buy a new battery and find the problem was something else. The vacuum is only two years old, and I don't use it that often, usually less than once a week. Is this the way the battery usually wears out? The battery was holding a charge just fine until this started happening.

My thought was battery first as they do get worse over time and use when you run the vacuum does it make any noise that's would be like a whinning or suggest that the motor isn't working as it should such as motor gets gets hot

No, the vacuum does not make any unusual noise.

As an example, the last time I turned it on, it ran for 30 seconds normally and then slowed down for a second and went back to running and then did that again and again until it just shut off.
