My Samsung Bespoke refrigerator (RF90F29AECEAA) does not have Google Photos in the Family Hub. Although the demo piece in the Best Buy store had an app called "connect to google photos". Is there a way for me to have google photos on my familyhub?

Hello! Thank you for reaching out! There isn't a standalone app for Google Photos on the family hub fridge. However, you can upload photos using Smarthings. Please see the link below to help get this set up.

Then why would the demo ones in store, and even some of your official videos (for example, the one below), have the "connect to Google Photos" option?

I understand how that can be frustrating. Unfortunately, if the option isn’t showing, it likely means it’s not available for all models. Since the video mentioned was posted over a year ago, there may have been updates or changes to how pictures are added. I can’t say for sure what’s been changed, but the best thing to do is check the App Store on your fridge to see if it is available there. If not, the SmartThings app would be the best way to go.

So many companies are doing this now. You buy an item with a feature, then they remove it. I'm taking note of the ones who do this so that I can avoid buying that brand again. This may be an exaggerated example, but if I buy a truck with 4 wheel drive, then a year later they disable that feature, how good does that look on the company? I bet you wouldn't buy that brand again, and this falls into the same category.

My Samsung fridge did have the Google Photos in the family hub and I was able to transfer 100 photos at a time.  Now it is gone and I can only transfer 10 at a time through the Smart Things App but the photos are “stretched”.    When and why did they remove that capability?
