I have a Samsung French Door, Two Drawer refrigerator; M/N: RF28HMEDBSG/AA (Rev. 6). Suddenly, it stopped making ice, and I pressed the test button. Ice was made for about a 2 weeks and stopped again. Did the test button again; no joy. Did a forced defrost; no joy. Water pressure is fine. There does not seem to be any ice build up that a hair dryer is needed. The dispense motor works. The ice maker shut off light is operable and not illuminated. Would it be worthwhile to purchase the repair kit that icludes the ice maker, circuit board, and drain heater?
Contact a Samsung service center technician and state what's happening, it could be a diy repair or something a house call could repair. If your under warranty contact warranty department.
