Kitchen and Family HubI have a Model NE58F900SS Electric Range that I recently am experiencing excessively high temperatures when cooking. When using the middle cooktops on the front of the stove I was able to take some non-contacting temperature measurements: Settings 2 =475F, 4=570F, 6=735F, 8=840F, Hi=960F (gets so hot oven cooling fan turns on). The right front middle cooktop has similar issue. This is without using the dual element - just inner. The single cooktops in the back are lower wattage but also run hot. Very difficult to control heat and cook. The oven seems to operate with no issues for baking, but the cooktops seem very unsafe. Model is from ~2015 time frame. Please advise recommendations.

Kitchen and Family HubHello and thank you for reaching out to the Community. The cooktop temperature is definitely a concern, and we recommend discontinuing use of the cooktop until you can have a service technician look at it.
