Home TheaterSince the update, the soundbar is unresponsive and can't be reset.
Seems like quite a few people with the issue

Home TheaterOn reddit someone said that Samsung told him to send the sound bar in for repairs because they have to replace the mainboard.

Home TheaterGo try this suggestion in the first reply to the thread below to force update the separate speakers and subwoofer. I'm not saying its a fix but it seems to have helped some people. Mine updated like this but it seemed to be working after the main unit showed the 1020 update before I did this, but my separates all updated when I used this method to force them so it might help.
Its mad you can do this and Samsung have not said so in the manual. Upvote his comment please to reach more people:

Home TheaterThank you for sharing this with the people here. I'm wondering if anyone here can try it and see if they can get it to work. (I turned off auto-update to prevent this issue from occurring and waiting to see if Samsung is going to officially announce a fix to this before turning it back on).

Home TheaterWhy is Samsung not responding to this issue? Everyone who has automatic firmware updates enabled is facing this problem. It cannot be solved without sending everything back. Such poor service from Samsung. Truly disappointing

Home TheaterNot everyone. My Q990D seems to have updated fine. It does seem to be a MASSIVELY widespread issue though. Just take a look at this subreddit:

Home TheaterBoth Q995D soundbar and LS60D music frame don't work today, whereas yesterday they were fine. Seems like all recent Samsung audio devices are affected.

Home TheaterI had the same issue it is stuck on tvearc will not reset by the buttons being non responsive I only had this for a month the soundbar will not reconnect to smart things app Samsung set up a ticket the girl told me to only send the soundbar Iโm glad I called back she did a video share to see if I did the reset and to see the issues I called back in the morning and was told to send the sub and rear speakers also so Iโm glad I followed up but that update bricked all
our units the only suggestion is to send it in for repairs which really sucks
