I need help from Samsung team to get Spotify connect lossless/Flac support on Samsung Soundbar Q800A series which didn't get any new firmware update since 1011.1 version. I have heard Q800D series does already have support for it, but not Q800A or Q800B series, if possible please help regarding so. there are so many users who want to use lossless directly through Spotify connect on soundbar. my main reason for this soundbar purchase was Spotify connect support itself.

Same issue with Q950T. It seems to be corporate greed as on one forum a developer posted the code that clearly states that the flag for older models was turned off. Seems Samsung can very easily fix it but that wonโ€™t drive new sales! (Assuming customers will buy new Samsung)

I own a Samsung HW-Q990C (firmware SAT-iMX8M23WWC-1010.5) - your $1,500 flagship soundbar from 2023.

Spotify lossless rolled out in September 2025. It's now December 25, 2025. My soundbar STILL does not support it via Spotify Connect.

Here's what makes this inexcusable:

1. The Q990C hardware NATIVELY SUPPORTS FLAC - proven by every review

2. Samsung's own 2025 models (Q990F, Q800D) received Spotify lossless support

3. The latest firmware update (1010.5, December 2024) IGNORED this issue

4. Hundreds of Q990C, Q990B, Q930B owners are reporting the same problem

This is not a hardware limitation. This is Samsung deliberately abandoning premium customers who paid $1,500 for a "flagship" product.

I'm not asking for new features. I'm asking Samsung to honor the Spotify Connect support you advertised and enable what the hardware can already do.

Samsung: Either push a firmware update, offer free upgrades to Q990F, or explain why you're treating paying customers like garbage.

I've also filed complaints with:

- Samsung Support (case #: [will add after calling])

- FTC (false advertising)

- BBB

- Tech press outlets

Other Q990C owners: Add your voices. This is unacceptable.
