I have a watch 6, on the treadmill its hit and miss, its definitely more accurate when swinging your arm, however most people who are pushing it on the treadmill dont swing there arm, rather they use the hand bars with the heart rate monitor attached. The REALLY frustrating part is when you finish you are allowed to correct the distance, but this feature is RIDICULOUS. Yesterday I did 2 miles and got .6 recorded (hands were on the bar), the adjustment only let me go to .88, I was not allowed to change the mile amount and was extremely limited on the partial mile amount. When on a treadmill, both values should always be fully adjustable, since in fact the treadmill is the source of truth. Sometimes this seems to work and other times you get the silly restrictions on adjustments. And dont respond to this with move your arms, as I have stated, for those who prefer the bars or side rails, you should fully support that as well by allowing the adjustment of the final distance.

The reason it's hard to get treadmill readings from the watch, is because it's not a pedometer, the "distance" is calculated by arm movement. You would likeky get better, more accurate results by keeping your phone in your pocket, since it will likely count the hip movement.

Same. I ran 2 miles today and it gave me .48. That was the highest I could select
