WhatsApp save images

The new whatsapp update on wear os is really annoying it now automatically saves images on your watch and there's no way to turn it off

And the archived chats also show on your watch 

Its not synchronizing with the phone settings.

Maybe Choose not to backup videos, photos media in that app?

Actually try settings/ chats/ media visibility off. Watch settings manage content off for albums to sync?

What do you mean watch settings there are no settings for the watch

The companion app shares the settings with the phone/computer app.  Whatever settings you have for auto downloading images on the phone will apply to the watch. So, go to the main app and turn off auto download images.

It is it's been since I got my phone

And yes media visibility is off
I didn't have any of these issues till the past update

What version watch do you use? I thought all smart watches have settings with companion app.
