Galaxy WatchI have a Galaxy 7 watch and am using Samsung Health to track workouts. When I start the app it works normally. The screen turns off but it continues giving audio updates and when I check the watch the app is there and running.
After a couple of minutes, though, the app goes into the background. It stops giving audio updates and when I check the watch, it is back to the normal watchface. If I open the Health app again it says a workout is in progress and I can select that option and it returns to the workout that is ongoing.
How do I keep the Health app from going into the background?
Thank you.

Galaxy WatchI believe workouts take precedence over other phone apps. If you have not actively started a workout and are just noodling around on your feet or bike, you can turn off auto-detect workouts. If you want the workout to be recorded and you want to navigate with the maps, the maps should still give you the verbal turn by turns and should still take priority on the screen when an active direction is being given (if you are going straight and no directions are imminent, it will go to the background, just as it does if it was the only app you were using.) You can always add the maps tile to the watch to make it easy to get back to the map app if you need to check your location, or just pull up the recent apps and select the maps to return to it.
