Watch 8 4mm will not work on flat chargers.

I have a combo Samsung charger that has worked with the last 3 Samsung watches. Because of the new band design and the angle they come off the watch you can't use an existing falt Samsung charger with it, even in the side specifically for watches. To use one of these chargers you are going to have to remove the band.

Watch will not lay flat to contact the charger. The Speigen liquid armor case is not in the way at all, it's the band.

Even when you take the band off it will not charge properly. Mine will start charging and stop continuously

Same is true of the fabric band but with some effort, one can fasten the watch around the charger and get charge

Just stinks because these chargers take care of my two phones (one Samsung and an iPhone), buds, and until now watch.

Almost all smart watches only work with proprietary watch pucks.
Has been this way for a long time.

What's the deal of using a puck? I charged my watch the first part of my day at work, along with my 2 phones and buds. I don't want to have to have 3 charges on my desk, that's the draw of these style of chargers. This is a Samsung charger, that has worked with the last 3 galaxy watches.

There are new sensors on them since the Watch 7 series. Has more health features. The main reason people buy them.
There is also no reverse charging on 7 and 8 series.

Return the watch and stick with series 6 or less. Or get a 3-1 charging stand that will do, phone, buds and watch. It's your 2 options I'm afraid.

My Watch 4 through 7 worked fine with the Samsung duel charger. The is no problem that the watch 8 is not working with it other than it's a big inconvenience not to be able to use a charger I paid a lot of money for.
