Unable to get Family link and LTE to work on Galaxy watch 7 paired S25+ on Verizon

Can someone help me??

I have Verizon service. 

They sold me both an S25+ and a Galaxy Watch 7, knowing they were for a 12 year old and that we wanted to set them up with parental controls and numbershare. 

Apparently, after over 20 hours of Tech Coach, no one in Verizon can get the devices provisioned properly and setup. Samsung support hasn't been much more helpful either. Everyone just reads from scripts and makes your perform the same steps endlessly.

I would recommend using the Google family link app. You can install the app on your phone and your child's phone. That will enable you to see their screen time, monitor what apps they download/use, and even set a maximum amount of screen time per day. Now adding the watch too might be tricky. I'm still looking into it. I'll let you know what I find.

I cant set the watch up as a numbershare to his phone when we set it up this way.

Are you setting the watch up in kid mode? The watch doesn't have to be in kid mode for you to add it to family link.

It wasn't letting me track the watch in family link when it wasn't in kid mode. I guess some of the options and faces are different as well.?

Hi,

Family link is there. If you setup the phone logged into his name, you can't set up the Watch for a child. It has to be set up for an adult.

Ok, I think the issue is on the Verizon end. If your child's phone line is assigned the "account member dependent" role, number share is not available. I don't think there's anything you can do to change that on the Google end.

It's crazy to me in 2025 you cannot buy a cell phone and watch and set them up for a child with parental controls. You'd think you'd be able to log into the phone as the adult, select which child you're setting it up for and boom, be done.
