Unable to Smart Switch backups from the Galaxy watch 5 to the watch 6 as it's saying it can't be backed up

I'm failing at this, my watches say icant back them up. What am I doing wrong?

I hope they change this. I have an Active4 and it never seems to do the automatic backup, under the exact same conditions as my Active2 which consistently backed up. So if I want a backup, I have to do it manually.

I have a pixel fold and am having the same issue with new GW6 classic. I upgraded from watch pro 5 and did NOT have this issue with that watch and pixel. So I'm guessing the issue is in the new watch software. Hoping for a fix soon!

I hate you're having the same issue, but hopefully there's a critical mass of people that it gets fixed.
