Touch Screen To Wake on Galaxy Watch Ultra

Anyone else having issues with sleep mode disabling "touch screen to wake" after the mode time ends. If so what was the fix besides not using sleep mode?

Does the touch screen to wake work after waking with the home button, or does it just not work at all after exiting sleep mode? I don't have sleep mode automated, I turn it on and off manually every time.  I wake my watch in the morning with the home button, turn off sleep mode and my watch performs normally for the rest of the day.  Perhaps the automation is causing touch to wake to not reactivate (even though it should when the mode ends).  Maybe after sleep mode ends on your automated schedule, you should tap the home button to wake the watch for the first time and then see if tap to wake works thereafter.

It does not work automatically even after pressing the home button. I have to manually enable the feature again each time. I have the sleep mode set on my S25 Ultra and the watch follows that automation.

A possible workaround until they  fix it might be to create a wake-up routine.  Since you have sleep mode on an automated schedule, you can create a routine that starts at the time sleep mode is scheduled to end.  For example: 

If: wakeup time (or specific time or time period)

Then: <galaxy watch> tap screen to wake = on

This will automate the process and you will not have to set it manually each morning.

It appears that ending sleep mode is not releasing the watch controls as it should.  Do as @LongHiker says and submit an error report.

@lilredtb3 Is your GW Ultra using the new UI 8? I'm seeing a similar issue with Raise wrist to wake. 

1. Raise wrist to wake is on.
2. I have DND to enable at 10 pm.
3. I manually enabled Sleep mode when I go to bed. 
4. In the morning I turn off Sleep mode. 

Raise to wake is still off. I have to manually re-enable it.

You can report this to the Samsung developers. The process is a little convoluted. 

1. Open the Wearable app
2. Click the floating 4 square icon
3. Click the 3 dot menu
4. Select Settings
5. Select Contact us
6. Select Send feedback
7. Click the paper plane icon
8. Select the Galaxy Watch Ultra from the list
9. Click Next at the bottom of the screen
10. Enter the details and submit the report.
