Look at screenshot and specifically SLEEP STAGES vs TOTAL SLEEP (does NOT add up). I clearly did not just have 1:40 mins 'Actual Sleep Time'. It's annoying enough that it ONLY tracks the 'in bed time' on the weekly chart, but on top of it it shows a completely inaccurate actual sleep time (see bottom of image) when you are up for an extended period of time during the night.

It is totally blocking out the first half of the night. It's even grayed out. When the awake time is not as long it does a fine job recording the whole night.

You realize it's using a sensor to check heart rate which is how it comes to this number

Is only showing 1 hr 40 minutes actual sleep time and it records my actual sleep time quite accurately. It's simply and completely skipping the first part of the night. It is showing nowhere it's grayed out - it's not in the previous day, it's not on the next day, it's just not there.

If you check the day previously, the grayed out portion will be on previous day because it was before midnight. The app will only go over midnight if it's a continuous sleep without any breaks. If there is a break prior to midnight and then sleep starts again after midnight the prior to midnight will show up on the previous day and the after midnight will show up on the most recent day. I hope that makes sense.

No. Here's the previous day. It's just not there and it happens every time there's a longer awake time. Screenshot_20220712-212825_Samsung Health_13481_1657675705.jpg

So the 1 hour 40 minute sleep time is just for the second segment from 5 PM to 6:40 PM. The first being 4 hour and 9 minutes. Your total sleep time was 5 hours 49 minutes.

No. That number above the 'pie' is the total time in bed and never corresponds with the 'Actual Sleep Time'. Here's a screenshot of a night without major awake time.Screenshot_20220712-211931_Samsung Health_13479_1657675171.jpg

Yes, I agree that the time above the pie is the total time of the sleep cycle recording. You can awaken and remain in bed and, at some point, the watch will end the recording even though you have not physically left the bed. It will end the recording based on your elevated heart rate and arm movements.
