Galaxy Watch@dja2k I only see this when I first put my watch on and the watch detects that it is being worn. Perhaps your watch is loose and when it redetects your arm you see the sync.

Galaxy WatchIf you have wallet on your phone, even just for Samsung Pass, it will sync with the cloud. It should only sync once a day. You will get a notification that it's syncing on your watch, if you have notifications on for wallet. If you have credit cards in your wallet on the the phone, it syncs regularly with your bank(s). Samsung Pay is installed on the watch and whether you have it set up is irrelevant - the data syncs from the cloud. Especially since Samsung Pass is now part of the Wallet and available on the watch.
As for battery usage, check your battery usage stats on your watch, you should not see any usage for sync, so it should not be contributing to battery drain.

Galaxy WatchI have the same problem. Every time I am away from my phone my watch tries to sync the wallet. My watch always chews up the battery during a day the syncing keeps happening, not an issue with the battery when the phone stays near my watch.
I have just uninstalled the wallet from my phone to see if that helps as I cannot remove it from my phone.

I have the same problem. Every time I am away from my phone my watch tries to sync the wallet.
I have just uninstalled the wallet from my phone to see if that helps as I cannot remove it from my galaxy watch.
i've reset the watch and start from scratch again. Problem is still here.
as soon as i finish rebooting the watch, i get a notification and then wallet syncing.
and this is more prominent when im away from my phone.
the problem is samsung wallet isnt even installed on the phone
this is definitely draining my battery

Galaxy WatchSometimes the notification gets stuck. Usually, it's a brief notification/sync process and goes away. I take note of the time the notification went up (it's at the top of the notification) and if it's, say, a half hour later and still up, I just go to the settings and turn off notifications from Wallet and turn it back on. This clears the notification. Just FYI, I also noticed that even though the notification is active, does not mean the sync has not completed. I believe there is a glitch in the handshake that the process has ended. The "sticky" sync notification does not happen every time it syncs (for me), 95% of the time it just goes away when the sync is complete.
