I'm not complaining, but i installed the Wear OS 8 on my watch 7 ultra yesterday, and everything went good! I'm even using the Greek Subdial watch face, but now my question, why did samsung not put a option to auto switch between the moon and the sun in the background option on the face settings, is it just me finding this to be odd??

You can change watch faces using Routines! Set up the moon face as a separate watch face, then use sunset to sunrise as a condition to change to your moon face. 1753625812228.jpg

Just did what you said, but, interestingly, this is the only option to do this! You think there would be an auto slow switch option, just like there is with some Swiss watches! I would like to know what the hit to the battery would be doing it the way you suggested vs just having an auto switch option in the watch settings

There would be no hit to the battery. Routines just sit in the background waiting for the activation cue - using no energy.  When it takes action, it takes no more energy than if you did the action manually.  I'm actually quite surprised a watch face like that is not dynamic and does not change with the time of day.
