Not getting text messages on galaxy smart watch 7

For the past few weeks my smart watch stopped showing text messages. I never changed anything so I don't know why I stopped getting the messages. I have notification turned on for my watch and in looking at videos showing you how to set up notifications, everything seems to be set up correctly. One of the main reasons I wanted a smart watch was so I could see text messages.

Is call and text on other devices setup on phone?

My car but nothing has changed when I stopped getting text on my watch.

Try wiping the cache partition on your watch. This usually fixes most problems.

When I did that and the watch turned back on, it only said rebooting and that's all it did. No options any of what your instructions said to do.

As soon as the screen goes black you have to keep pressing the top button.

Thanks so much for your help. When I started pressing the top button as soon as the screen went black, I got to all the information I needed and your instructions from above corrected my problem about not getting text messages. One just showed up on my watch so it worked. Thanks again for your help.

I had tried to do that after I was able to get my watch working but I clicked the second posting about the top button and then there was no option for the detailed instructions so I clicked the 3 buttons on the posting I had selected and found I could unselect it. I now have the correct post selected as the solution. Sorry about that.
