If Samsung phones want to surpass Apple's security, they must add the long-rumored Polar Face ID. Regarding battery life, Samsung watches could take a cue from Ticwatch's Enduro Pro 5 series. It utilizes dual-layer display technology: an OLED screen on one layer and an ultra-power-efficient FSTN LCD screen on the other. Similar to the monochrome screens used in digital watches or calculators, it displays basic information like time, step count, and battery life with extremely low power consumption. It also supports always-on display with 18 selectable backlight colors.
So? I don't buy Apple. I wanted a Samsung so I didn't have to put up with Apple's nonsense of forcing you to buy more of their products. Now it seems that Samsung is going down the path of constantly having to buy a new device every year. This is crazy and not affordable for the majority of people. You are not forced to buy a device every year. Samsung introduces devices every year because, believe it or not, some people are a) buying devices for the first time, b) upgrading a device no longer eligible for updates, or not working, c) people want a product with new features.

More people keep their devices until they absolutely have to switch than don't. If you, personally, feel compelled to purchase and finance every new shiny thing that comes along, that's on you, not Samsung.
