Is tizen going away?

My Galaxy 3 watch. Has been disconnected from galaxy store I believe i am unable to install anything or update anything.. i wonder if eventually they will remove it from the Galaxy wearable app, and if they do, what's gonna happen with the watch

@anthonyfreak14 The GW 3 was the last Samsung watch which used Tizen OS. Samsung has dropped support for the older watches. The new watches use the Google Wear OS.

So if they have dropped support, will they be removing the manager add-on for the watch on wearable app soon, and if they do that, will my watch become a paperweight

I don't think that they will remove it from your device. However, it won't be supported on newer devices or newer phone OS updates.

I heard something about September 20th. Will be the end date for deactivation. I'm assuming by then, if I factory reset either device (phone or watch), I will not be able to use the watch again

@anthonyfreak14 As of Sept 30, 2025 you won't be able to download any Tizen watch content. The watch will continue to work.

Unfortunately ,Tizen is no longer supported. It will be completely phased out by the end of 2025.
You may want to look into XDA and see if there is any developer support for your model, otherwise forcing the purchase of an updated/upgrade watch. 🖖🏻

I'm only so curious because I have always loved the bezel design on the older watches, along with the operating system, which is much simpler. I'm not really up to upgrading.

Well, no one says you have to buy the latest watch, just look for a pre-owned WearOS watch (4,5 or 6) with the bezel.  I am not sure which one of those has an actual bezel.  You will still be able to use any of those until the battery goes bad. The watch 8 classic has a bezel, but it is a weird shape. I think the watch designers may drink.

I totally agree with that. Watches are supposed to be round in my opinion. I like how the bezel on the watch. 3 turns so you can navigate the watch. I think that was a great feature. I'm not sure why they got rid of it.. It used hall effect sensors. So you knew it was reliable, whether it got dirty or not
