Just got the Galaxy Watch 8 and honestly, it's been a letdown. The double pinch gesture barely works unless the strap is uncomfortably tight, and even then it's inconsistent. Raise-to-wake is hit or miss especially annoying when you're lying in bed, arm stretched out, trying to check the time. The haptics? Weak. I have to keep the band tight just to feel notifications, and they’re still nowhere near the crisp feedback of the Apple Watch. One UI 8 also removed a really useful feature from the GW7: back then, if you were using your phone, the watch would stop buzzing, which made sense. Now, it just mutes the phone completely and shifts everything to the watch which, again, has poor haptics. There's a setting to allow both to vibrate, but that defeats the whole point of smart notification control. For a $379 device, I expected refinement not regression. It’s good in some ways, but Samsung dropped the ball on the experience where it matters.
• wont it be a great watch 👌 if you pass over the feature the galaxy phone has where we can see details of last call or last text i mean slapping on the watch is to be useful 😉 things like that will help its not about being all fluid just if possible the features to work
I loved my watch but the inconsistent 😕 i had to return it . Ill wait for better quality .
Ok update i got a galaxy watch ultra nad wow 👌 i dont miss a notifications but heres the truth its ugly i got fat fingers and its huge lol and i use calibers and measurements and width is even but one side they went flat and the other side they stretched out making it not semetrical reason it has a good motor it haptic motor vibrates horizonta means takes more space and uses more power pretty sure this will remain on tge ultra until 3 more models since the regular galaxys are aiming to be thin which i aggre but the regular gw8 vibrates vertical and idk if they try these out human skin has more sensation rubbed horizontal for example if you get a tattoo you will know it dont hurt as a cut slash lol at this point but those note 10 motors in the watch those where beast lol
