Galaxy WatchThe texting issue on the watch is a carrier issue. I had that problem and had a long session with a tech support specialist with my carrier that fixed it. However, in the Wear app, you should enable remote connection. It will keep your watch connected to your phone even if the BT connection is severed. It does, however, require both devices to be connected to either wi-fi or mobile (they do not have to be on the same or same type network as long as they are logged into the same Google account), as it connects through Google cloud services. Keep your mobile data on all the time on the watch.
