I've tried searching for this but all I could find is that the sleep tracking is fixed on the new watches. Not in my case though.

I have an S24 Ultra (not sure if that even matters) and the new Galaxy Watch 8 Classic.

On May 30th, I updated the Samsung Health app on my old Galaxy Watch 7. Since then my sleep has not recorded right. I experience gaps and the sleep tracking ends before I'm awake.

It seems like this wouldn't be a hardware issue since it started on my Watch 7 and has continued to the Watch 8, but here's a list of things I've tried:
- Cleared cache for all health apps on both the phone and watch
- Factory reset on Watch 8 (twice)
- Uninstalled and reinstalled Samsung Heath on both the phone and watch
- Turned on then off any battery/power saving modes (also set apps to "unrestricted")
- Set heart rate to measure constantly
- Turning sleep mode on both manually and using a schedule

Tech support said I may have to send the watch in for repair, but I've had it for less than 2 weeks so that seems ridiculous. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I've included screenshots of what I'm seeing along with the clear decline after 5/30:

Samsung, please stop posting these useless instructions, they don't work, and any of us who are experiencing the issues outlined have already checked and double checked, reset and we are all still experiencing the same issues. A better idea for Samsung would be to admit a problem, and continue to post updates on progress to solving the issue and when a fix will be loaded to correct the issues. But a good place to begin would be go back to where the software was prior to May 30th. From my personal standpoint, I don't care about sleep latency, it's a useless stat to me, and I'll bet it is a useless stat to the vast majority of users.

I have the same sleep issue and sent it in for repair and it worked for a week and went back to the gaps in tracking sleep. Surely someone at Samsung must have a solution or refund or replace the watch.

Been like this for over 6 MONTHS now. Absolutely ridiculous!! At this point there needs to be a class action suit started.....maybe then they will take it seriously and make some software without Ai. Pathetic!!

I suggested a Class Action suit back in August. It's getting to the point where Samsung needs to be held accountable for this issue.

I thought I had it figured out with the AOD after 2 nights with no gaps and a random sleep score of 95 but nope. Still getting gaps.

I've stopped sending in my logs to Samsung as it's pointless. I send it in, get told it has to be within an hour of waking up and then get told to send it a different way. Then I send it the different way and get told to send it a different way again. Then the few they've actually reviewed have shown "no issues."

Just out of curiosity, on 10/13-10/14 did anyone notice a significant jump in sleep scores. When I woke this morning 10/14, my ring recoded a sleep score of 90 vs the teens and low 20s which have become my new norm. Several weeks ago I also noticed an improvement with my ring sleep scores, but after several days they went back to my new low normal. I'm hoping based on feedback Samsung is toying with fixes which end this nightmare we have been experiencing. . .

I've also noticed an increase with fewer gaps. I haven't changed any setting or anything and have noticed updates to the Samsung apps so I wasn't sure why...

I apparently jinxed it. After posting, I started getting large gaps and lower scores again. Not as low as before, but 50s and 60s with large gaps in the records.

I just checked and last night my Watch 8 Classic stopped recording at around 3:40 (I wasn't awake until around 6). The night before it stopped at around 4:50. Before that I was getting gaps in the middle of my sleep (but still a high rating).
