Galaxy Watch Ultra/7 freezes during workout after last upgrade

After the last update the screen stops updating and will go blank during updates. It takes several seconds after turning wrist for it to come back. IF you press button or tap screen it comes back. Basically, made the watch useless during the workout. I want to roll back update or get a fix from Samsung. I have also seem multiple other threads on reddit and other forums with same complaint.

I'm having the same issue after the update. I ran 4 miles on Saturday, and my Galaxy watch 7 worked as usual. Updated Monday evening. Went running Tuesday evening, and the frustration started less than a minute in. Same Samsung Health Running app, but frozen screen that only updated every 3 or 4 minutes, then froze again. Saw many on Reddit and here with the same issue.

Experiencing the same issue. Tried restarting phone, watch, workout, etc. Same issue was consistently present.

Same here, the workout setting is set to have AOD enabled but the display goes to sleep.

I am also have this problem since the last upgrade.  Exercises are frozen and requires manually waking up the watch to show workout stats which is extremely frustrating.  Please fix ASAP.

same and extremely frustrating that you have to spend an hour to learn that its from a SW update. Fix this ASAP.

The only solution I discovered is:
1. Turn off AOD in general settings, and
2. Turn off "Screen always on" in excercise settings
you will not have always on display but whenever you raise wrist, the data will display immidiately without any lagg.
