From someone who owns a Watch Ultra and a Watch 6 Classic, and loves the design of each in its own respect. If what I'm seeing around the the interwebs is true regarding the next Classic taking design cues form the Ultra I'm gonna ask right now for someone to please put a stop to the madness. My Ultra is my daily driver that I throw a case on if I'm going on a more grimy active mission. But the 6 Classic is my head turner when I'm suited up and want to keep that energy rocking down to my wrist. Silver Classic with a metal band, fugidaboudit. Round watches are still cool and Classic ain't Classic if it has a new school form factor. Give me a ROUND 8 Classic the way its supposed to look, and also a Watch Ultra2 with a rotating bezel. Boom! Everyone's happy.

This happened to me too, except I traded in Galaxy Watch4 Classic that was in perfect condition for the Galaxy Watch Ultra, 47mm, Titanium Silver.

I did a complete factory data reset and I received an email yesterday stating:

"Your trade in device is not able to pass the data wipe test."

I am returning the Galaxy Watch Ultra, 47mm, Titanium Silver and requesting my trade-in to be returned. I hope it was worth it for Samsung, I have been a loyal customer for years and now I will never purchase from Samsung again.

I've been seeing around the internet in multiple forums, complaints about the trade in process with Samsung and people getting hosed. You'd think Samsung would address this problem by now since its been on going for a while now. Samsung will NEVER be on par with Apple if they don't step their ***** up and fix their issues and stop screwing their customers.

Of course they probably don't care as they have plenty of fan boys who will sing their praises of the products and others that will continue to buy because they don't think better options exist.

I'm sending the Watch 8 44mm back to Samsung. I have the watch 6 classic silver and love the design. I have small wrists but I've worn the 47mm for 2 years and I'm used to the size and weight. I was disappointed with the Watch 8 classic smaller screen size, I'm older and don't want smaller, so I purchased the Watch 8 44mm with trade in $160. The 44mm 8 has roughly same screen size as the 6 Classic. I just received the watch 2 days ago. Opened the box and it was so ugly. It was not in local stores and all the sponsored reviews were so glowing. The watch 8 silver is feather light, feels like cheap plastic compared to the watch 6 classic. I started to setup but I couldn't stand wearing it.. the 6 Classic is such a perfect design.. why can't they just keep the design and update the sensors/processor. So disappointed in Samsung. Yes it's not fair Classic vs 44mm regular. If it was a straight trade-in for the watch 8 I wouldn't do it let alone pay $160. $6.50 restocking fee. Going back

I agree, I was ready to pull the trigger on the 8 classic (with the low trade-in cost) until I saw what it actually looked like.  I don't know how you can call the black version 'Black' when it's totally stainless with just a small inner black bezel. Definitely passing on this generation of the watch, will stick with my 6 classic and 7 for the time being.  If they stick with that design going forward, time to move on to a different make of watch.

I have exactly  same opinion about 8 classic. I'm returning mine. Samsung is charging $12.38 restocking fee which is so unfair. If you buy it at the store you can return it  within 30 days and no restocking fee. The problem is that the watch looks totally different on Samsung's advertising pictures than in reality. I spoke to a customer service that this is cheating. She said there is a disclaimer on their website saying that the watch could look differently due to a lighting. Simply make what you show and people will keep it. The restocking fee really frustrated me.

So own 2 watches then.  I run my Watch 8 but also still use my Active 2 while charging the other or doing some kind of work where it might run the risk of being damaged.  The watches will all sync with the phone so it's not big deal to own ones for whatever styles you prefer.

The Watch 2 has ended support.  Tizen support is dead.  If  you should have to disconnect or reset your watch 2 you will not be able to re-connect it to your phone.  Effectively, the Watch 2 is but a memory.

I recently did an update on my S22U and had to reset and reconnect m my Galaxy Watch 46mm from 2018, and it's working just fine. No new updates or support for sure, tho. But still, the apps I care about, like S health, Spotify , and so far, all of my text calls and emails are working.
