Something is majorly wrong with Samsung Wallet on my Galaxy Watch 8. This notification that says syncing wallet will get stuck sometimes. And now when I open up wallet it lags super bad and some of my cards say either temporarily unavailable or contact customer service.

And now just today when I go into it it's not even doing the NFC anymore. Then the wallet just freaks out and will lag out the entire Watch.

It lags it out so bad that it will overheat and shut off or if it's on the charger and doing this it won't even get to a full charge.

I have to reboot the watch and sometimes it'll act up again. It appears to be related to Samsung wallet on the watch.

Does anyone else have this issue I'm really trying to avoid a hard reset of it because it's such a pain.

I'd go with the hard reset at this point.

Try a wipe cache partition before a factory reset.

Start tapping the top button when the screen goes black.1756946951075.jpg

I have the same problem across 2 watches. Samsung won't acknowledge it. I turned off NFC, data, and wifi with no luck. I've noticed this happens more frequently, when out of range of my phone. But no matter what I do, or how much I turn off, it still says syncing, and drains my battery. I went from galaxy watch 6 to recently an 8, and I still have the same problem.

I ended up hard resetting the watch. It was definitely related to wallet. I also completely uninstalled wear and did a fresh install on my phone.

I think the issue was related to a card that recently expired for me it was an American Express card because I was having problems re-adding it it just wouldn't work.

So for now I just left the problematic cards off of there and that took care of the issue what a buggy mess though really not common for Samsung pretty embarrassing though like the watch overheating and being unusable is just bad code

I can feel your frustration & in the past 6 months Ive run into glitches that some how lead back to Google. We rely on technology so much that when it doesn't work we lose it. 😂

I understand that there is/was some issue with Amex cards being added/updated in the wallet.  I believe Amex is working on a fix for it.  FYI, though, the beauty of the wallets is that when a card expires it does not need to be deleted or re-added to the wallet, the bank updates the card information.  Your overheating issue was likely due to the watch continually trying to connect to the Amex servers to update the card.

"I called Amex yesterday and they said to wait till the 16th and the problem might go away by itself otherwise they will open a case with Samsung...I think you should do the same so Samsung can know there is a problem"
