The magnetic rotating bezel hall effect sensor of the GW8C is overly sensitive to any kind of outside magnetic field, or electro magnetic interference (EMI). Especially any kind of EMI from and electric motor, servo, or high current electrical source. The watch face goes nuts from it. Even a simple fridge magnet can act on the bezels hall effect sensor from 3-4 inches away. A super strong magnet can interact with the bezels hall effect sensor up to a couple feet away.

I never had any issues like this with the GW6C, and never experienced the watch **bleep**g out from making a smoothie (blender motor EMI) or standing too close to a power supply to an equipment rack (coil EMI).

Hopefully this is something that can be addressed, and the hall effect sensor can be tuned with a firmware update, to prevent this crazy level of false bezel readings from randomly impacting the watch functionality.

Love my GW8C, but this greatly hampers my daily use of the watch, as I can't put it around equipment I work next to all day long in my GW6C, without issue.

Hello. Welcome to Samsung Community. This is a forum where Samsung users attempt to assist other Samsung users with their Samsung products and services. While we do have some moderators here, their main function is to police community policy infractions.

Your suggestion would be better provided to Samsung by accessing the 'Send Feedback' form in this app. Go back to the main page, tap the 'Support' tab, then, under 'Quick Help', tap 'Send Feedback'.

That's all fine and dandy, but there is no "Send Feedback" option for the Galaxy Watch. Only for the Galaxy Phone. And I have a feeling sending Watch Feedback via the Phone Feedback Channel will get it promptly, and completely, ignored.

More over, according to a post from someone at Samsung in this thread...

Any issues with the Watch should be reported through the Wearables App.
But that seems to default straight back to the same Support screen in the Members App...which only has Diagnostics for the watch.

So, it would be fantastic if you, or anyone, could provide accurate and complete information on how to actually submit feedback for a wearable device. Because it appears such a thing does not exist.

Hello, again.

It is often difficult to gauge how much information an OP needs and what their level of tech IQ is. How much is too much information? I often opt to provide some general guidance at first and assume that the OP will ask for more information later, if needed.

Yes, the Feedback on the phone is your portal for providing information to Samsung. Please choose the 'Accessory' category when providing feedback for Wearables.

When completed, you will receive an automated acknowledgment. Samsung will contact you only if they need additional information.1756640711492.jpg

Well, Samsung responded in the worst way possible...

"Please submit an error report using Samsung Members Beta application."

There is nothing I can find anywhere called the "Samsung Members Beta application".

No additional instructions, guidance, or even a direct acknowledgement of the problem I explained was given. Just submit something via something that, seemingly, doesn't exist.

Bravo.
