Galaxy WatchIts already been posted here about the AOD being broken with the workout screen after the latest watch update. But it also appears to have affected the GPS accuracy as well. It might not be noticiable for some unless your doing long distance workouts, but my regular runs were typically around 7.1 - 7.15km with great consistancy. And when you looked at the map, the gps tracking lines were always clean and straight, which with the watch 7 is attribured to its dual gps design. But now immediately after the update which had already broken the AOD workout screen for live data, i am getting poor gps tracking lines and the last two runs coming out to over 7.3km for the exact same route. Which it had never done in the past. It feels like they have potentially adjusted the gps settings to try save some battery and sacrificed the gps accuracy as a result.
It is a MASSIVE understatement on how frustrated i am about this new update and has caused me much distress because of how i hate when things mess with my exercuse routine so destructively.

Galaxy WatchI am still waiting for the update. Hope it fixes it. If not, then that was the end of story with samsung watches for me.

Galaxy WatchSo i can confirm that there is a difference in the way the GPS is tracked after the new update, the tracking line definitely has some smoothing added to it and no longer is jagged. But i cannot yet confirm its distance accuracy, which even though the tracking line is smoother. Does not garentee that the distance calculations are going to be correct or that the positional accuracy will be better. But its a good sign so far, will see as i do more exercises.

Galaxy WatchEarly days still, but it does seem to be fixed with the new One UI 8 update. There is definite smoothing and the tracking/GPS accuracy seems to be back to how it used to be. The distance calculation error rate of the previous software was at about 5%, which was actually worse than many of the older smatch watches with inferior GPS tracking. For example my old watch 4 used to have a error rate of about 5% as well. But this new One UI 8 appears to be back to it's original 2% error rate before the samsung updates broke the GPS functionality.
So this is very pleasing to have back and i can now go back to not having to stress over having accurate data.

Galaxy WatchI went on a MTB ride last night. Recorded on my phone and watch. Phone recorded 15km (which is pretty bang on). Watch recorded > 32Km.

Galaxy WatchWatch 7, One UI 8 - issues still not resolved.
- Still seeing speed spikes upto 90km/hr during bike rides
- Sometimes auto resume stops working randomly around 1 hr into a ride
- Even if manually resumed - GPS fails to register any distance moved
- And in other instances - seeing incorrect routes and upto 20% extra distance covered

Galaxy WatchI concur, although the map tracking accuracy has improved on my test's, the distance approximation is grossly overestimated.
