Duo charging pad not charging watch 8

I have the duo charging pad. Never had an issue charging my devices.

Since having the watch 8, my watch shows as charging but the battery life decreases while on the charger. I have never had this happen with any of my devices in the past.

This seems to be an issue with some other message boards. Is anyone else having this issue? Did you find a fix?

Have you tried the puck that came with your watch8 to see if it charges any differently? I think I remember reading somewhere that the charging protocol has changed which may be a factor in your Duo not charging correctly.

No I haven't. I shouldn't have too but I wipe give it a try.

Why do you think you shouldn't have to? When there's a problem, the best way to diagnose the problem is to eliminate possibilities one at a time until you figure out what the problem is. The very first thing I do when a charger doesn't work is try another charger.

I'm trying to understand, let me repeat what I think I understand. Your watch 8 will charge correctly on the charging puck that came with it, correct? Your watch 8 will not charge correctly on the duo charging pad, correct? If those two statements are correct, then it is more than likely confirmed that the charging protocol has been changed in the watch 8 and it will no longer be able to accept the charge from from your outdated duo charging pad due to the charging protocol change regardless that it's in the same ecosystem.
