I've got a small question about my Galaxy Watch 7. Generally, the battery is pretty good, but when I work out (swimming for 2-2.5 hours), it drops 70-80%.

It's generally no big deal as I can just charge beforehand, and I'm sure the device is optimized for shorter workout sessions, and I'm sure being underwater is taxing on the tech. But I figured I'd ask since my friends with Apple Watches don't have such problems.

Again, no big deal, just curious. 🙂

When you swim, you should put your watch in airplane mode, as neither Bluetooth nor wi-fi nor cell signals can penetrate water and the watch will waste a lot of energy trying to connect.

That makes perfect sense to me. I'll report back in a few days if I'm noticing a difference. Thanks so much for the help

I always put my watch in airplane mode while swimming. It does help significantly with battery usage.

I've done some swimming with airplane mode. It now takes 10-20% of battery instead of half or more. Thanks so much for the help

In addition to Airplane mode, make sure to turn on water lock if you have not already.

Water lock activates automatically when the swim routine is started.  If the OP is doing a 2.5 hour swim, I assume they are turning on the exercise tracker.  Also, water lock activates automatically when a swim workout is auto detected.  There have been times I either neglected to activate the exercise, or the activation didn't complete, yet the water lock had been activated after the swim was detected.
