BEWARE!!! SCAM!! Watch 8 Classic Screw-Up Costing Me to Fix

I ordered the Watch 8 Classic in BLACK, but, with a sales agent through the chat who put my cart together. 

He messed up. Put the WHITE watch instead in my cart and now Samsung wants to charge me a 5% restocking fee!!!

So their screw-up is costing me money. 

I'm done with Samsung. I'll go to Best Buy, walk in and buy my Pixel products moving forward. Seriously. The LAST straw. 

The loss of the S-pen Gesture functionality still leaves a bad taste in my mouth anyways on my S25 Ultra.

But Beware of this Scam!!

Edit: I required CSR help with my order as my Military Discount and the $50.00 Pre-Order Credit wasn't applying to the cart I created. Moreover, I think the restocking fee for their mistake is the scam - so I'm just warning everyone to double & triple check your cart as even unopened boxes are being charged a restocking fee!!

Do you have proof, such as a recording or chat transcript that you ordered the black, but the agent put white in your cart? Did you not get an order confirmation where you would have seen that the wrong item was ordered and could have corrected it before it shipped? Why did you not put your own cart together in the online store? Doesn't make it a scam, makes it a mistake. It is your obligation, though, to check the order confirmation detailsl and correct any errors.

The scam is the restocking fee for their agent not doing what I was requesting. I went through the agent because my military service discount was not being applied, neither was my pre-order $50.00 off. Which he did get applied.

I trusted them and yes, I do have the original chat where I informed him that I wanted the Black watch and white band.

It's very confusing on how the item is listed "Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, 46 mm, Black Hybrid, White LTE"

That's what the line says, I never assumed they'd split the color of the watch with the color of the band.

It is a mistake. One that they're trying to charge me 5% of full retail even though I only paid $244.99.

I feel the right thing to do is to provide a modicum of customer service to remedy the situation.

Have you spoken with a sales supervisor? I would have questioned what "hybrid" meant, and why white was listed at all, since you wanted, presumably, black case and black band.

Hybrid is the name of the watch band as you could pick fabric, etc... I actually wanted a white band with a black face... thought it would look nice. I literally got the opposite of what I wanted.

I called C.S. & they said to generate the return label it's necessary to charge the fee.

Why cant you just keep the white watch then and not return it? You can buy bands on Amazon. If it says black hybrid and hybrid is the band, it says right there that the watch (lte) is white.

I snagged this photo from a review. I tried them both on at Best Buy. If it was only the front of the watch that is white - I would keep it... But this watch is VERY white. The white backing is off putting against the skin and really stands out.SQkX8CtqHm.png

I would still try to escalate to a supervisor, there is no way a supervisor doesn't have the power to a) waive the restocking fee or, b) at least reduce it to 25% of the price you paid.

The way I read that order is Black Hybrid band, White LTE watch.  Why is listed that way, you did a bespoke order. The stock would be black with black.  White with white. 

It's not confusing at all to me. I am sorry about your less than stellar customer service.
