I meet all of the criteria to test out the Beta for the Galaxy watch program, why is it telling me to connect my watch, because my watch IS cnnected. I'm running 1UI 7 on a Fold 5 with a T-Mobile Galaxy Watch Ultra paired/synched to it. I'm sure this question has been answered. I just needed to get to the page where the answer is, and it seems this is the fastest way.

Try restarting both watch and phone. Try clearing members cache. I had the same issue.

Here is an update from the moderator on the thread "One Ul 8 watch beta" :

Hello,
Thank you for participating in the One UI Watch Beta program.
We’ve noticed several inquiries regarding not receiving the Beta software update. Please note the following important eligibility criteria:
LTE Models (Watch with Mobile Network)
To receive the Beta update, your Watch must have an active T-Mobile LTE plan.
If the SIM is not activated or the device is not currently using T-Mobile’s mobile network, the software update will not be delivered.
Bluetooth (Watch BT models, not just BT paired with Phone) Models
Bluetooth-only models are not affected and will receive the Beta software update as usual. No SIM or mobile plan is required.
If you’ve enrolled in the Beta but haven’t received the update yet, please ensure your Watch meets the conditions above.
We appreciate your feedback and participation.
Regards,
One UI Beta Team

I've been looking into this subject for a little bit now but my question is will the Galaxy Watch4 Classic get the WearOS 6 update, I know it's suppossed to get 4 years of updates but I know that it's gonna be little past that release, so I wasn't sure if it would or not

Hello everyone, We are reposting this information from the Beta team for clarification on enrollment and participation. Questions regarding the Beta Program should be directed to a Beta Moderator. All post once you are enrolled in Beta are to be made in the Beta Community.

We've noticed several inquiries regarding not receiving the Beta software update.

This Beta program is conducted for "Watch7"  (BT and T-Mobile model only) and "Ultra" (T-Mobile only). Special edition (except Golf edition) and other model can't join.

As there are many unclarified posts regarding to Watch Ultra, software update will not be delivered if the device is not currently using T-Mobile's mobile network.

Once your Watch Ultra has an active T-Mobile network, software update will be available as below:

Please note the following important eligibility criteria:

Watch 7 - LTE Models (Watch with Mobile Network), Ultra
To receive the Beta update, your Watch must have an active T-Mobile data plan.
If the SIM is not activated or the device is not currently using T-Mobile’s mobile network, the software update will not be delivered.

Watch 7 - Bluetooth (Watch BT models, not just BT paired with Phone) Models
Bluetooth-only models are not affected and will receive the Beta software update as usual. No SIM or mobile plan is required.

If you’ve enrolled in the Beta but haven’t received the update yet, please ensure your Watch meets the conditions above.

We appreciate your feedback and participation.

Regards,
One UI Beta Team

So now I have missed being on the beta because I had my watch on BT and not network. This was not clear and unfair. I have participated in many betas and now am shut out of this one due to unclear instructions, no response to posting, and yes I'm on T-Mobile. Makes me wonder...

If you participated in Betas before, you should know the routine.  If you have an LTE watch, you must have a carrier and it must be T-Mobile.  Not activating a plan and just keeping the watch on BT only, does not make it a BT model.  You missed out because your watch did not meet the criteria, not because the instructions were unclear - what's unfair about that?.  Were you going to go out and buy a BT only watch or sign up with T-Mobile just to participate in the Beta?  Life is not fair, everyone is always missing out on something.  It is not the end of the world.

  • I did not, at any time, say or imply that you were stupid.
  • Activated and being ON network when signing up are two different things.  I don't do betas, but I would imagine that if criteria is set up for signing on, they would check your watch/phone that it meets the criteria, not just take your word for it.  If your mobile network was turned off, it would not have registered as being eligible.
  • Don't act as if this is anyone's fault but your own, as even if the instructions were not crystal clear in the recruitment banner, there has been much discussion in the forums about what was eligible and what was not.
  • There will likely be other Beta phases that you will be eligible for when spots open up.

I'm not the only one on T-Mobile that this happened to. Many of us got the "Connect your watch to your phone, then try again" it DID NOT say make sure your LTE is on. It should have said if you're an Ultra user, make sure your LTE is on when you hit "Join". As I said before I've done many betas and they will state BT only where applicable. It's obvious you don't do betas. This new way of signing up has to be more clear. If LTE is "on" for the Ultra it should say so. We know the Ultra are not BT only.
