I found this error comes out only when I open the sliding door of my balcony state room on a cruise. After closing the door, I can use the usb to charge the phone. Samsung needs to address this issue with a software update.
Do you even realize how much humidity there is at sea? Also, salt is in the air, so microscopic particles of sea salt and spray may be getting in. Get some USB moisture plugs and keep it in your phone while at sea, taking it out only to charge the phone. I assume you don't sleep with the balcony door open.

Well then, take it for evaluation and repair. No user here on a peer to peer user forum can help you. Humidity is a destroyer of ports. Do as @Dan2023 said and just use wireless charging and wireless data transfer.

Buy a wireless charger and call it a day. Over time, I have purchased enough wireless chargers so that I have one wireless charger in every major room in my house. I never run out of power. I just move about the house transporting my phone from wireless charging pad to another. (Lord, help me if I put my phone down somewhere that isn't on or near a charger. Then I have no idea where the darn thing is. Thank goodness there's Find My Phone.) The one my bedside table not only has a wireless charging pad, but is a lamp also and has a Bluetooth speaker in it. They even make furniture with wireless chargers built into them. I installed one into my kitchen table myself.
